Michael has learned, contemplated and meditated on Dharma for nearly four years under the Guidance of Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. He has attended numerous seasonal retreats and participated in two summer internships held at the Dzogchen Retreat Center—once as a volunteer Dharma Chef and in 2018 as an intern.

Michael will be leading Preliminary Practice with commentary, followed by a teaching on the Four Noble Truths. We welcome Michael as our newest student-teacher.

This is a new program at the PDC, where we offer a place where participants can gather to share their thoughts and questions in a welcoming and compassionate setting. The discussion occurs under the guidance of a trained and accredited Dzogchen Buddha Path teacher. The session combines dharma practice along with the discussion. All materials are provided.

Sunday Buddha Path Practice

*****Today, we hold an abbreviated practice  in order to prepare the dharma center for our Annual Member meeting at 3pm. Practice will be from 2-230pm today. We resume our regular schedule next Sunday.

Each Sunday we practice at least one of the sadhanas from The Buddha Path. Sessions include commentary and instruction. This week we are doing Bodhicitta Practice. Texts, cushions, and tea are provided. Everyone is welcome to stay afterwards for Q&A.

It’s Hanukah, the traditional eight-day winter Festival of Lights celebrated by Jews around the world, and a perfect time to join this interfaith community for a special Sabbath service. Our three communities will come together to share traditions of light and incense offerings, breaking bread and toasting world peace as well as a discussion of our Jewish, Buddhist and Lutheran prayer traditions.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We will gather in the church basement community room.
