About the Workshop
Developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, Reiki is a spiritual practice and system of energy healing which has since been adapted by various teachers of varying traditions. As a form of alternative medicine, Reiki uses a technique commonly called palm healing or hands-on-healing. Workshop participants will be given some simple explanation and an attunement (like an empowerment), along with teachings on Buddhist fundamental principals that relate to energy healing. We’ll also try out some energy healing activities. Each session is designed as a stand-alone teaching. Participants are welcome to attend one or more sessions.
